Witchbrook on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Two Nintendo products, one date
Witchbrook is announced for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on January 28, 2027. The publisher announcement and the US Switch and Switch 2 products agree. Nintendo lists single system (1) and online (1–4). Neither US page displayed a price on October 29, 2026.
That player line is the clearest Nintendo wording against couch co-op: one person on the console, up to four online. The same reading is on the multiplayer page.
File size is a single-store figure
Nintendo estimates 1.2 GB for each version. Both pages use an estimated file-size label; they are one source family, not two independent size measurements. Steam separately requires 2 GB of free space on Windows. Storage requirements and downloaded file sizes are not interchangeable. PS5 and Xbox sizes were not found in the reviewed product pages.
Nintendo shows the content descriptor Suggestive Themes; Xbox displays Teen and that descriptor. A descriptor alone is not an age category. The FAQ records the ESRB search limitation rather than treating a missing search result as proof of no rating.
Membership, compatibility and upgrades
Nintendo's product information lists Nintendo Switch Online for online play and Save Data Cloud. Those are Nintendo-only service labels. Cloud backup is not confirmation of cross-save with Steam, Xbox or PlayStation.
The original Switch product page marks its Switch 2 backward compatibility as untested. A separate Switch 2 listing does not prove that the Switch edition has passed compatibility testing, that owners receive an upgrade, or that an upgrade is free. No upgrade price or path was found in the reviewed announcements.
The pictures here are publisher press-kit screenshots. The media page does not identify their capture hardware, so they are not labeled as verified Switch or PC captures.
Questions on this page
Does Witchbrook release on Switch and Switch 2 the same day?
Yes. Both Nintendo US product pages showed January 28, 2027 on October 29, 2026, matching the PC and other console dates.
How big is Witchbrook on Switch?
Nintendo estimates a 1.2 GB game file size for each version. Nintendo is the only source for that estimate; it is not a measured final download. Steam’s separate Windows requirement is 2 GB of available storage.
Is there a physical Switch edition yet?
The October 2026 blog says a standard and a collector’s edition are in production and will follow the digital launch. Price, date, platform and contents are not published.
